Market Snapshots: Springs' Textures & Colors

Where: Portland's PSU Farmers' Market

When: Saturday, April 6, 2013

On Saturday, in between shopping for various kinds of raab, cabbage, and chard, I passed the shopping bags to Justin, as I was eager to play with our new camera, the Fujifilm x100s. We rented this camera on our recent vaction and became completely smitten.

As a prime lens shooter, I enjoy the 23mm focal length and the wealth of different angles and viewpoints it provides. It's light, portable, and much less noticeable than my other camera. And it's easily customizable, so Justin can carry it and shoot with it when I carry my D700. I'm especially drawn to how the camera picks up colors and textures--as demonstrated by Saturday's carrot, chard, and raab models.
