Friday Afternoon Along the Waterfront

We kicked off a beautiful Portland weekend by taking a late Friday afternoon stroll along the Southwest waterfront. While still beautiful, the cherry blossoms bordering the Japanese American Historical Plaza seemed about 24 hours past their peak, meaning the color wasn't as brilliant as possible. Instead, the spectacular beauty came from long-distance views of the canopy of trees shading a pink-speckled ground.
